You can add a configuration file to the list of configuration files for a panel on the Offline SPC Panel Configuration page in the following ways:
By creating a backup of the current panel configuration file while connected to the panel
By uploading a configuration file from your PC
By adding a configuration file from your Favourites list in SPC Connect Pro
These procedures are described below.

To create a backup of the current panel configuration file:
Click Local Panels in the SPC Connect Pro navigation.
Click Connect for the relevant panel.
Click Backup the configuration of the SPC Panel to SPC Connect Pro .
The downloaded configuration file appears in the list of configuration files for the panel on the Offline Configuration page.
To upload a configuration file from your PC:
Click Local Panels in the SPC Connect Pro navigation.
Click Offline Config for the panel to which you want to add a configuration file.
The Import Config page appears.
Click Import Config.
The Import configuration file to SPC panel page appears.
Under Import Config File:
Enter the Engineer Username and Engineer Password required to open and decrypt the file (the engineer credentials at the time the configuration file was saved).
Click Browse beside Select Config File to open a Choose File to Upload popup where you can browse to and select the configuration file you want to add.
Click Upload.
The configuration file appears in the list of configuration files for the panel on the Offline Configuration page.
To add a configuration file from your Favourites list in SPC Connect Pro:
Click Local Panels in the SPC Connect Pro navigation.
Click Offline Config for the panel to which you want to add a configuration file.
The Offline Configuration page appears.
Click Import Config.
The Import configuration file to SPC panel page appears.
Under Import Config File from Favourites, select a configuration file from the Select Config drop-down list and click Add.
The configuration file appears in the list of configuration files for the panel on the Offline Configuration page.
In all cases, you can optionally edit the configuration file name and description, and the engineer credentials in the file. To do this:
Click SPC Config Details for the configuration file on the Offline Configuration page.
The SPC Config File Details page displays.
Enter a new Config File Name.
Enter a Config File Description.
Enter the engineer username and password under Login Credentials.
When you send a configuration file to the panel, the engineer credentials on the panel are changed to those from the configuration file. If the engineer credentials in the configuration file do not match those in SPC Connect Pro, you must update the engineer credentials on the Installation Details page to continue connecting to the panel from the Local Panels page. |
Click Save .
