The Change Panel User PIN/Web Password page

A panel user can access the panel in one of the following ways:

• Through the keypad using their PIN

• Through the panel web interface using their username and PIN if they do not have a web password

• Through the panel web interface using their username and web password if they have a web password

You can change the panel PIN/web password for a panel user through SPC Connect.

To display the Change Panel User PIN/Web Password page, click the Change Panel User PIN/Web Password option for the user on the Panel Users page (see The Panel Users page).

You have the following PIN management options:

• If a panel user does not have a PIN set, you can set a PIN by entering and confirming a new PIN, then clicking Change User PIN.

• If a panel user has a PIN set, you change the PIN by entering the current PIN, entering and confirming a new PIN, then clicking Change User PIN.

  Note: If a panel user has a web password set, you must enter the web password also when changing the PIN.

You have the following web password management options:

• If a panel user has a web password set, you can remove the web password by clicking Delete web password.

• If a panel user has a web password set, you can change the password by entering the current web password, entering and confirming a new web password, then clicking Change Web Password.

If a panel user does not have a web password, the user must log on to the panel web interface to set a web password.
