The Installer Wizard

The Installer Wizard is shown in following cases:

  • When you are installing SPC Connect Pro, before you run the software for the first time.

  • If you start SPC Connect Pro and the application detects that some of the ports it needs are in use.

  • If you start SPC Connect Pro and the configured data path is not found.

  • If the USB driver needed to connect SPC Connect Pro to a panel via USB is not installed, and you have not disabled the warning that the driver is not installed.

To configure SPC Connect Pro settings through the installer wizard:

  1. On the Ports and Firewall tab, for HTTP and UDP:

    1. (Optional) Enter an alternative port number, then click to check the port status.

    2. (Optional) Click to open a dialog where you can configure a firewall exception for the specified port.

    3. Click Next.

  2. On the Data Path tab, click to open a dialog where you can browse to and select the location where SPC Connect Pro data should be stored on your PC, then click Next.

  3. On the USB Driver tab:

    1. If you are prompted to install the USB driver needed to connect to SPC Connect Pro, click Install and follow the on-screen instructions.

    2. If you do not install the driver and do not want to be prompted to install it each time you run SPC Connect Pro, select the Ignore Warning check box.

    3. Click Close.
