Billing and payment
Product Version(s): SPC Connect 3.0
Topic last updated: January 2020
SPC Connect provides a premium service to companies, with a subscription dependent on the number of panels the company manages through SPC Connect. For information on pricing, click here.
No subscription is required until you add a panel to your company. When you add your first panel, a free 1 month trial period begins, and Vanderbilt automatically creates a Chargebee account for your company. After the free trial, a Pay Monthly subscription is applied per panel, with billing and payment handled by Chargebee. You can pay for your SPC Connect subscription using direct debit, or a credit card.

Click Company > Settings > Billing and Payment to see the billing and payment information stored in SPC Connect.
Your credit card or direct debit details are managed by Chargebee: to see these details, you should log on to the Chargebee site:

Configuration >
Company >
Company Settings > Billing and Payment Information.

You cannot select to pay an individual invoice, you must pay all outstanding invoices in a single operation.

You do not need a subscription identifier unless you are being billed through distribution or some other special arrangement. In this case, your distributor will provide the value that you should enter in this field.

Yes! If you manage 8 or fewer panels, you can use a free user account. Note that user accounts do not include premium account features such as site and site group definition, dashboard view of sites managed, and site operations such as remote maintenance and config manager.

-
The first 30 day period is free for each panel registration: if you delete a connection within the first 30 days, your company will not be billed for that panel; if you keep the connection beyond the free first 30 days, then your company will be charged monthly for that panel.
-
The fee is based on the number of panels registered to your company on the billing date, excluding the free registrations (still in their first 30 days).
-
The monthly per-panel fee is a flat fee: it is applicable regardless of a panel's online/offline status during the month, and is independent of the feature set enabled for the panel in SPC Connect.
-
If you add more than one SPC Connect ATS to a single physical SPC controller, each ATS is treated as a unique "panel" for billing purposes.
